Penzion Žumberk

I slept so well in the blue room, with its large double bed and firm mattress. The room was tastefully done in wood, and had a fridge and electric kettle. Both the room and bathroom were spotless. From the balcony, you can see the fortress and mountains. The owners were cheerful, kind, and ready to help. Parking right outside was convenient, and the brewery's pleasant beer hall is just across from the guesthouse.

It has the quiet, homely feel that lets you properly unwind and give your mind and body a rest.

The village center was still quiet, and I loved sitting out on the balcony in the morning with the spacious garden nearby. I'm picky about cleanliness, but the owner completely changed how I felt about the bathroom. I could hardly believe it wasn't brand new. First time in ages I've given full marks.....⛵

We slept wonderfully in the quiet yellow room. The bed was really big, with a medium-firm, high mattress and pleasant bedding. The room matched its description, with plenty of storage and shelves, a reading lamp, and a food-prep corner with a kettle and basic dishes. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and refrigerator, and there was hot water the whole time and good wi-fi. The apartment was clean, tidy, nicely finished, and everything felt like new. The upstairs stairs are steep, but manageable. Check-in was quick and practical, and parking is right in front. The owner was pleasant and shared some interesting things about bees. We had a great stay and would happily come back, also for the wonderful, inexpensive honey 😊
