The owner was really nice and helpful, which made the neglected grounds feel like a missed opportunity. The place could be a lovely guesthouse, but it didn’t match the photos at all. There were cobwebs in the rooms and an odd smell.

The swimming pool was the one bright spot. Otherwise, this felt more like visiting someone’s home and paying for it than staying at a guesthouse. There was a dog smell as soon as I walked in, with hair everywhere. The beds were made neatly, but stains were all over the place, cobwebs clung to the curtain rods, the toilet seat was cracked, and the shower stall door had fallen off. Breakfast was no buffet: just one cucumber slice and a piece of pepper for vegetables, plus tea and coffee from a stained kettle. This place is really only for people with very modest expectations. If I’m home all day, I at least clean and air the place out. For that price, it’s a real shame. I don’t recommend it.

It’s a family-run guesthouse with a pool, a peaceful setting, helpful staff, and excellent food. The disappointment was breakfast: the website said there’d be a buffet, but we were served a plate instead, and it wasn’t much of a hit.

There’s an outdoor pool, a place to sit, and a fireplace. Breakfast is buffet-style, and you can choose between two dinner dishes. Nice accommodation in a rather forgotten spot.
