Hotel Garni Zlín

The place was quiet enough, and the view from my room was pretty nice. I was there for a week on a short Erasmus trip, but sadly the stay wasn’t that great. The reception was open 24/7, and they let us eat food from another place at the restaurant tables. But the staff didn’t know how to speak English, which made communicating a bit difficult. It was clean, just not clean enough for a three-star hotel, and they didn’t change our bedsheets the whole week.

After 14 hours of driving, I arrived almost at midnight and was able to get a room on the spot. The restaurant was already closed, so I made do with two cans of Gambrinus beer and two small bags of chips, enough to wind down and sleep well. Breakfast was okay, though not great. In any case, this hotel is a much better choice than the nearby hotel Moskva!

The room had beautiful, large windows, and both the room and bathroom were quite spacious and renovated. It was a nice surprise, with a great location, good parking, and good value for money. Breakfast was decent but nothing special, just eggs, some ham and cheese, bread, and yoghurt. There was no WiFi in the room, and the common areas were very outdated.

Garni is right in the city center and close to the bus station. It was my first time staying there, for four nights, and everything was good. The room was great and clean, breakfast had a good variety, and the WiFi worked perfectly. Highly recommended!
