Check-in is done at a touchscreen terminal, so have your door and check-in codes ready when you arrive. The location is terrific, right in the heart of Aachen's old town. My room was nice and surprisingly quiet, though on the small side.

The interior was really neat, and I felt right at home. The rooms do seem quite small, which is fine for a night or two. There are bars and pubs nearby, though, and in summer the nighttime scene might feel a bit too intense if you're sensitive to that.

We made the reservation by phone because the internet wasn't working. The person who helped us was friendly and gave us all the information, but when we got to the hotel we couldn't get into the room. I called the hotel number again and got a very unpleasant, unfriendly person on the phone, Mr Daniels. After a minute, he put me through to someone else. He really didn't seem to want to talk or do anything. The female colleague he connected me with was friendly, but couldn't make the room reservation either. If you don't have much time, stay away from this terribly disorganized business.

Very clean, but dealing with the cards is complicated, and there's no reception to help.

Access to the hotel is a hassle. The rooms are small, but clean and nice, and it's right in the town center.
