Hotel Restaurant 7 Berge am Schlehberg

We paid almost 100€ for the night, and the experience really wasn’t comfortable enough for that. The mattress, pillow and duvet were all uncomfortable. Check-out was 9:30 Monday to Thursday and 10:00 on weekends, even though the online information said something different. That’s very early to me, especially with check-in apparently starting at 16:00, though maybe those hours are common in this area. We’d left our suitcase at the hotel at 11:00 and came back around 22:00, so that was our first look at the room. The bathroom light didn’t work, and there was nobody at reception to talk to. We’d called the day before to ask if we could leave our bag before check-in, which seems like a pretty normal request. On the phone, the owner was rude and barely let me finish. We changed in the hotel bathroom, and the suitcase was left by the entrance, with no proper storage room. Then a false fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Everyone ran outside in their pajamas and waited for someone to turn it off. Things like that happen, and that part is understandable. What wasn’t okay was the owner’s rude response and the complete lack of an apology. The light still didn’t come on, whether we waited or not, and we tried both. The owner’s response here about the alarm and the rest just shows me that hospitality is a mystery to them. For that price, the hotel should do much better, or charge a price that fits the poor service and lack of comfort.
