Great hotel, fantastic food, and a lovely sauna.

Lovely atmosphere. A little expensive, but definitely worth it.

The blackberry ice cream was the star, outstanding and tasting very homemade. I went on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was packed, so book ahead. I had the fried trout, Forelle Müllerin Art, with fried potatoes and salad. The trout was great, although the skin was a little burnt. The potatoes tasted good, but the onions were all black. The salad was good too. I also tried the ratatouille, which used unusual Arabian or Indian herbs. I liked it, though not everyone did, and it was a bit too oily and salty for me. The desserts included a tiramisu with apricot, yogurt, and chocolate crumble. It wasn’t to my taste and didn’t have much in common with classic tiramisu. Even with my criticisms of the food, I’d give the place four stars overall because the atmosphere, service, and surroundings are great.

The restaurant serves excellent classic food. I had a great fish soup with rouille, followed by rainbow trout filleted at the table. It came with a little can of melted butter, delicious, and lemon wedges with that small metal tool for squeezing out the juice. Properly classic.
