Ferienhauser im Torfhaus Harzresort, Torfhaus

The room was really clean, with a beautiful mountain view, and the sauna was great. We arrived with our dog and found a little surprise waiting in the room, bowls and some treats for the dog. I fully recommend this hotel.

The huts were fantastic, and we found the place clean, modern, and welcoming. The beds and pillows were comfortable, which isn't always the case at hotels or resorts. The location is unbeatable, and staff were incredibly friendly and quick to bring things we needed, like fresh bedding or toilet paper. We did wish there were a couch in the living area. There wasn't a comfortable spot for everyone to relax together in the evening, apart from the dining table or the sixth bed, which could work as a couch for one to three people, but not more.

We had a lovely family reunion here in August. Every morning, you can have Brötchen delivered right to your door, and there are plenty of things for everyone to do. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern.

For a hiking weekend, we couldn't have picked a better base. Torfhaus is right among all the trails, so you can head out on foot straight from the resort. The three of us, my wife, our dog, and I, stayed on the hotel side in a decent, clean, up-to-date room with a really nice valley view. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they didn't speak English. We managed with our very basic German. It's a very nice dog-friendly hotel and a great fit for a hiking holiday.
