The room had a balcony and sat among the trees, and downstairs there’s a little cellar bar that feels like a shrine to the owner’s traveling days. He was a real character, very welcoming, and even sent me off with a huge bag of food since it was too early for breakfast. It’s a great place to stay. I walked there from the airport and back, a lovely stroll if you have up to two hours to spare.

We left straight away and canceled the stay. The room had dead insects trampled into the floor, and after a one-minute clean the bathroom was called clean. Outside, there was rubbish everywhere, from plastic to electronic scrap. The landlady was unkempt and unfriendly, while the dogs barked constantly and got shouted at. Calling it “Bikers Point” seems outrageous when the driveway is gravel. Disgusting, and I can’t recommend it.

For €40, we got two nights and breakfast, which is hard to beat. There’s somewhere to store a motorcycle, and the breakfast was good. It’s a handy overnight stop for motorcyclists exploring the best routes around the Hunsrück, Eifel, and Moselle. Highly recommended.

The beds were really comfortable, and breakfast was generous. It feels family friendly, too. I’ve got no complaints and would definitely recommend it.
