Landhotel Kahltalmühle

We were traveling through on our summer holiday and spent one night in the top room with our two teenagers, aged 12 and 14. The room was very spacious, with a luxurious bathroom and a separate toilet. The air conditioning worked well, and the quiet location made for a good night’s sleep. Service was very friendly, and we enjoyed having a drink in the pleasant courtyard. The schnitzel is highly recommended. There’s a mini golf course next door, and Alzenau Castle is a 15-minute walk away. It was ideal for us, and we’ll definitely come back!

I left with a very negative impression, and the breakfast service was disappointing too. On the day I arrived, I asked a woman for hiking recommendations. She replied, “I don't know, I only work here and I don't go hiking.” The staff were extremely unfriendly. There was also very loud music from private events in the courtyard during my stay, going on late into the night. Nobody told me about this beforehand, and there was no mention on the website, during booking, or when I arrived.

The service was attentive and friendly, and after a restful night we enjoyed a generous breakfast. We spent the weekend with friends at a country hotel for a goose dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we had a lovely evening sitting together for a long time. The cozy alpine hut was very pleasant too.

We held a team event at the Kahltalmühle and felt very comfortable. The restaurant serves excellent food, breakfast is good, and the inn has a lot of charm. Staff were very friendly, and the rooms were large, beautifully renovated, and quiet. It’s also a hotspot for mountain bikers, with lots of exciting trails nearby.
