Hotel Am Martinsberg

The breakfast had a good variety, served in a very pleasant room, and the staff were friendly and helpful, with most speaking English. We had a small room on the second floor with one small window, and with daytime temperatures over 30 degrees C, it was quite warm at night. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the town centre and 20 minutes from the Rhine. There’s a car park behind the hotel, but it can’t fit every guest’s car. During our five nights, we couldn’t get a space there on at least two days. There are no reserved spaces, so you have to arrive early if you want to guarantee parking. It’s a very nice hotel overall.

We were lucky to get the last room, and I’m glad we did. After three months cycling around Europe, having a secure place for our bikes mattered a lot, and the staff were friendly and easy to chat with. The breakfast was the best I’d had in ages, with enough food to make a three-course meal if you wanted. Our clean, comfortable room was on the top floor, with lots of light from a large sloping roof window. My wife and I would happily stay at Hotel Am Martinsberg again. Thanks for making room for us and our bicycles.

The rooms on the second floor seemed to have been renovated recently, and everything there was clean and worked well. They’re small, though. It may not look like much at first, but it does the job of giving you a place to sleep for the night really well. Very good value for the money.

Breakfast was flexible, which I appreciated, and I really liked the hotel. The rooms are on the small side, but I wasn’t in mine much during the day anyway. A nice, convenient place.
