We booked easily, and communication with the landlord was hassle-free. Parking took a bit of figuring out, but that's part of staying in the historic old town, and the rest more than made up for it. We spent Easter here and felt at home in the comfortably furnished apartment. The view from the windows is stunning, and our daughter loved sitting on the sill to take it in. With museums, castles, and palaces nearby, there's plenty to explore.

We found the kitchen furniture comfortable enough for an evening of TV, and the apartment was very well equipped: kitchen appliances, a hairdryer, coffee, tea, oil, salt, dish soap, and more. The only thing we missed was sparkling wine in the fridge. The landlord was easy to reach on WhatsApp, and booking directly through the website made communication excellent. The money also goes more directly to the landlord than through intermediaries, who don't add anything. If resident parking is full, Pfarrgasse is about 80 meters farther on. It seems the “No Parking” sign is missing on the right side when entering via Zürichplatz.

There's lots of room and plenty of beds, making this a good choice for families. The apartment is centrally located, with nicely designed rooms and some vintage and upcycled pieces. The owner was friendly and easy to contact by WhatsApp or email.

The Ore Mountains have so much variety, and Annaberg is a lovely base, with unique shops, good bakeries, and butchers. We found the landlord friendly and easy-going, and all the recommendations were spot on. For kids, there’s plenty to do: rides on the Pressnitz Valley Railway and Fichtelberg Railway, visitor mines, the cable car up Fichtelberg, the model railway in Schönau, and Ore Mountain crafts you can often watch being made and try yourself. In Annaberg, I’d also suggest Tilliphon record store, the Vieweg toy store, and Gloria cinema.
