The antique collection is stunning, and the owner clearly has a real eye for beauty, mixing old and modern with style and personality. You see the work of artisans from the past everywhere, while the remodeled bathrooms add an upscale modern feel with touches of the past. The rooms are comfortably classy, and the small staff are friendly and attentive. Their pride in Der Platengarten really shows. It's centrally located in Ansbach, with shops and restaurants just a couple minutes' stroll through history away. Book a room at Der Platengarten, you won't be disappointed.

My mother and I would happily stay again someday. We loved our room, and the bathroom was better than most, with a walk-in shower. The breakfast was stupendous, with a huge selection of tasty things, and the price was very reasonable. It felt like a museum because of all the wonderful antiques and collectibles. The place is near the town center, great for walking, and the area felt very safe. I took lots of photos.

The beds are two twins pushed together, but they were very comfortable. We had a nice room with a sofa and coffee table, and breakfast from 0700-0900 was good. The location is beautiful, right downtown.

All the staff went out of their way to help with anything we needed, and the hotel made our wedding weekend extra special. I stayed five nights in May 2018 with most of the wedding party. The place is conveniently located, and we had a lovely breakfast. My wedding clashed with the Liverpool vs Real Madrid Champions League Final, so I called ahead to ask whether we could watch it at the hotel the next morning. They said yes, and when I arrived I found they'd bought a new television especially for us.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the location is great. The rooms were good and the service was excellent, with staff very willing to accommodate my needs. I did notice a cigarette smell when I entered. I was driving a truck, and getting into their parking lot was a very tight fit.
