Hotel Das Bayerwald

A really nice hotel.

The meals were a real high point during my seminar week in the Bavarian Forest. Breakfast had plenty of appealing choices, and the four-course half-board dinners were varied, generous, and delicious, with four main dishes to choose from. Some of them were unusual, too. I also made good use of the sauna and pool, and you can arrange massages there. The room felt a little dated, but it was clean and roomy, and the mattress was new. Everyone I dealt with, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant team, was warm, capable, and helpful. They even mailed back the sleep mask I left behind, without making a fuss. The place felt welcoming, and I was very comfortable there. I was absolutely thrilled with the stay and can highly recommend "Das Bayerwald". I'll definitely return.

The buffet at breakfast and dinner was excellent, with a big salad bar and really good food. Our assigned seats could have been better, though. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived, and a small issue with the bathroom heating was sorted out straight away. You can see that the hotel is well maintained and gets regular investment. It may not all be state-of-the-art, but the whole experience works well, and we felt at home. For the region, Hotel Bayerwald is an easy recommendation, with a good price for the quality.

We had a lovely holiday at Bayerwald while doing a therapeutic fast, and the support throughout the week was very good. Dogs are welcome, and everything felt easy-going. We couldn't judge the food since we were fasting, though it smelled very tempting, so we'll try dinner another time. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable, even if some parts are a little dated. We'd happily recommend Bayerwald.
