We couldn’t use our booking because of family reasons, so we can only comment on the host. Booking.com said we’d need to pay the full amount, but Mr. Göhl promptly returned our deposit in full. That was very generous, and we’ll definitely come back another time.

We stayed in August 2024, six adults and three children. The host was friendly and helpful, check-in went quickly thanks to help with preparations, and the location was good, with Lake Constance about 30 minutes away. We appreciated the large kitchen and big table for meals or board games, plus the well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, spices, and dishes. There’s a small Edeka supermarket 2 km away for things like bread rolls, steaks, and eggs. Parking right outside and the cleanliness were also positives. The downsides mattered for us: the pool wasn’t filled with water, so we couldn’t use it even in the summer heat. That was a deciding factor because of our three children. There was also quite a lot of traffic noise, depending on the room and how close it was to the road. Soundproofing was very poor, and there were no blinds to darken the rooms.

The apartment is rather small for ten people, but we had good weather and could enjoy the lovely surroundings. The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. We stayed at the Old Schoolhouse with two adults and eight children, had a wonderful holiday, and highly recommend the apartment.

There’s a sandbox and swings in the garden, and a large playground just 500 meters away that has everything you could want. The rolls and bread from the nearby bakery were delicious too. We spent a week in the apartment with four adults and four children, and had everything we needed. There are four bedrooms with plenty of room, and the spacious, well-equipped kitchen has a table with room for even more people. The apartment has a lovely feel and comfortable beds. The landlord was friendly and helpful. So much is within a 45-minute drive, including Skywalk, Hündle, Lindau, Wangen, and Isny. A week isn’t long enough to see it all. Everything was wonderful!
