Hotel Zu Den Linden

Breakfast was served only from 07:00 to 08:30. I went down at 08:05 to find a disgraceful room: no clean tables or crockery, the juice dispenser was empty, and the coffee machine had no milk. There were no staff around, just the same horrible man from the night before, sitting at reception chatting with a woman. I asked him for a plate, but he kept chatting. Ten minutes later I searched the cupboards and found one myself. There was just one bread roll left, and the 'hard boiled' egg was almost completely raw. I couldn't wait to leave and went elsewhere for breakfast. I arrived close to midnight after my aircraft was delayed two hours and a two-hour traffic jam from the airport. The hotel was dark, with a sign in the reception window saying to call if reception was closed. No one answered at first. After several tries, a man picked up and started screaming at me for waking him. He didn't care that it was late, pouring with rain, and that I'd had a horrible journey and been travelling for 18 hours. He just kept shouting, then hung up, leaving me with no idea whether he'd let me in. After about 10-15 minutes I decided to return to my car, and then he appeared. He seemed embarrassed by how he'd spoken to me. By then I was crying from all the stress. Eventually he showed me to my room. It was okay but basic, with a small, uncomfortable bed. It wasn't worth the money at all.
