Astheimer Schlösschen

The rooms were okay, but the hallways weren't clean, and the hotel could use some care. I had to call to get the check-in code because it never arrived by email. The place has definitely seen better days.

We were comfortable throughout our stay, and the staff were helpful from the very start. Fantastic service. Thanks to everyone, and we wish you all the best. We'll definitely come back if we need to!

A cool, quiet place!

We would never stay here again. The room itself was clean, but the dog charge wasn't disclosed as a flat rate. Booking requests always said €10 per dog, then the amount was raised to €15. When we wouldn't pay the increase, the police were called to have us removed, even though we'd paid for the room in advance. The provider also lied about our Booking review, claiming they felt sorry for us and that our dogs were a bad sign. It's unfortunate, since the provider never even saw the dogs. They were verbally aggressive, too. The shower hose was broken, and the Wi-Fi was unusable, with no reception if more than one person was in the room. The TV only worked via internet, and then only through a private hotspot from their own account. It was set to Polish. The front door was always open, and the provider wasn't on site, so nothing felt secure. There was no outdoor lighting, or it was always off. Security can't be guaranteed here. The electrical wiring was underground, with a cable connected directly to the wire by the bed. The rest was missing, and there was no smoke detector. Maybe it would be okay without children and high expectations, but for this price you can definitely find somewhere better. Don't be impressed by the pictures.
