Arthotel ANA GOLD

We only stayed one night, but I’d happily come back. The place is thoughtfully designed for guests, with a cozy pool, a sauna beside it, and what you need to relax. There’s tea and coffee available 24/7, which I loved. I didn’t need the service, so I can’t say if it’s the best, but I had no complaints. Worth every penny. Thanks!

The indoor pool, fitness room, and sauna were clean and well organized. There were hardly any people around, so I could enjoy some quiet time. The hotel also has a night bar and garden, and the breakfast offers plenty of choices for different tastes. Rooms were good and clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and ready to help during working hours. A very nice hotel!

I paid extra for the pool and sauna, but the pool was freezing, the sauna wasn’t on, and there was nobody at the front desk at midday. Check-in is listed as 12am to 8:30pm, but no one was around. The front desk policy is to call or email with questions. It wasn’t worth the price. Spend your money elsewhere, I don’t recommend it.

The sauna and pool area were the only redeeming feature of my stay at Arthotel ANA Gold in Augsburg. Everything else was disappointing and frustrating, with a basic lack of competence and courtesy from the hotel. Housekeeping was terrible. We were out of the room for over 6 hours and had requested cleaning, but it was left untouched. Breakfast cost 17 euros per person for what amounted to pastries and coffee. The room was dated, the shower pressure was very poor, and the sink pressure was inexplicably too strong. We had also called ahead and confirmed the hotel could receive a small package. When the courier arrived, they refused it even though it was labeled “HOTEL GUEST” and had the reservation name. After we emailed about it, they gave no apology, explanation, or offer to make things right. We also asked whether there was a guest fridge on the ground floor to store our baby’s medication, but they wouldn’t even confirm if one existed. Save yourself the frustration and find somewhere else. I won’t consider returning.
