The price was about what I’d expect at a normal hotel like Dorint or Quality, but the stay was awful. My room, 240, was tiny and very old, and disco music from the bar downstairs on the 2nd floor played until midnight. The elevator didn’t work, and to open the paid garage you had to get the key from reception and return it every single time. Breakfast was poor too, with overcooked scrambled eggs. The worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Augsburg, maybe even Germany. Never again.

The hotel is fairly small, but my room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. It’s tucked just off Maxmillianstrasse across from the square, making it a perfect base for walking around. The clocktower next door is a bit loud, but it doesn’t ring at night, so the room stayed quiet. Breakfast was nice, and the underground parking was great. The Rathaus restaurant next door was wonderful too, another staff recommendation.

It’s right in the town center, which means plenty of noise at night. Our room was small and could have been cleaner, and there was no airco. The parking space we’d reserved wasn’t available when we arrived. The breakfast room is small, so there may be a wait when the hotel is full. They also seemed understaffed.

I’ve stayed here before. It’s a good choice if you want to be right in the town center, with lots of different restaurants and cuisines close by.

Just a minute’s walk from the market place, with the town easy to explore from there. It’s tucked away quietly, and the safe, secure underground parking is an extra bonus.
