I canceled during the free cancellation period and received confirmation that there’d be no charge for canceling. Even so, the property wouldn’t refund my money and ignored my messages. A very disappointing experience. Their conduct felt unprofessional and dishonest, and I strongly advise people not to book here or trust this place.

The room was clean and comfortable, and I had a good stay overall. I was there for three nights. The app let me check in and out and unlock both the main entrance and my room without needing contact with hotel staff. The microwave and kettle worked well, but the built-in electric stove was locked, so I couldn’t use it. There weren’t any utensils beyond a fork, a few spoons, mugs, and plates. The hotel is beside one of the city’s main roads, and I heard traffic now and then, even in the middle of the night.

Everything else was nice, clean, and comfortable, but the water drained very slowly. I also didn’t discover the rather hidden kitchen until I’d been there for several days. A sign by the entrance would help. A microwave and mini fridge would be nice too.

The place was clean, but that was about the only positive. My mattress had a large hole and was so uncomfortable it kept waking me, and the locker hinge was broken. The house is in a terrible spot right on the main road, about a 20-minute train ride from the main station. The kitchen was badly equipped, with just two plates, three glasses, and a small fridge box for the whole house. There’s nobody physically at the hostel for check-in. You have to use a web app outside the door, enter your reservation number, and provide information while standing in winter weather that was cold, windy, and rainy at 2 degrees Celsius. It assigned me a room and bed. I checked in early, but still got a top bunk. I’m 62, and there was no one to accommodate personal needs. Around 8 p.m. on the second evening, the apparent owner came into the room and hurriedly looked around without introducing himself. I complained about the bed, but he didn’t seem to care. He asked if they should deal with it the next day. I asked to move to the bottom bunk because the mattress was unbearable. He said no, it was occupied, though the bunk stayed empty all night.
