Aying feels like a Bavarian storybook village, peaceful and full of warmth. The traditional houses and quiet streets have a genuine charm, and it’s hard not to feel time slow down as you walk around. I left with the place still on my mind. Danke, Aying.

The food was a highlight, especially the schnitzel, Kaiserschmarrn, boiled potatoes, which were so good, and the cakes. I had my wedding here, and the staff made everything easy, keeping us informed and guiding us through the process. They were accommodating and lovely hosts to our guests. It’s an authentic hotel and restaurant in a beautiful rural setting, and it’ll always mean a lot to me. I hope it does to our guests too.

We had a great dinner here, with delicious food and a perfect wine list. The staff were polite and nice, too. Such a lovely place near Munich. Thanks, everyone.

The clock bell rings every 15 minutes through the night, so keep that in mind if you book. I made the mistake of staying Sunday to Tuesday, when the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner and there was no brewery tour available. I’d traveled over 8000 km to see this place, so I was disappointed. The tour had been included in the package we booked for the room, but no refund was offered for that part. We basically paid for a tour we couldn’t take. Unfortunate.

We arrived late after our sales agents recommended the hotel, so it was early the next morning before we got a proper look around. It’s part of the Aying Brewery, and the surrounding community is rural. We enjoyed a morning walk. Breakfast was nice, and the waiter was very attentive.
