The breakfast was wonderful, with a big choice of food laid out in lidded iron crockpots. Such a nice touch compared with those big standard stainless steel catering pans. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was clean, though the liquid soap was oddly mounted outside the shower while the shampoo was in it. Some parts of the rooms are showing wear, but management is renovating them one at a time to avoid putting guests through construction. The pool was really cold, but in the hot weather it felt refreshing. I also liked the two outdoor saunas behind the pool, in a clothing-optional area. The reception staff were professional and friendly. My room wasn’t ready until 3pm, so I went for a walk. There was some late noise outside my ground-floor room on the first night, probably because a huge fair was on with hundreds of thousands of visitors. Otherwise, it was a quiet, relaxing stay. They let me check out a little later, which I appreciated, and the team gladly printed something urgently for me. Charging 25 cents for that seemed a bit silly, in my opinion. A nice, peaceful place to stay while discovering the town and nearby region.

The outdoor pool is open year round, and there are saunas too. The beds were nice, the staff very pleasant, and the service was great. Breakfast was really, really good.

We arrived from abroad after the early morning hours needing to find a room, and Krebs was amazing. He stayed with us and helped with every detail, going back and forth until we were settled. He was patient, understanding, and went above and beyond. His excellent English was a big help since we don't speak Dutch. The hotel is beautiful, but the staff who helped us are what will bring us back.

The rooms are spacious and well looked after, and parking is available. It’s a classic, stylish hotel with friendly staff. The restaurant and breakfast were very good, definitely worth recommending.

Breakfast was good, with plenty of hot and cold choices, tea, and coffee. You had to book a buffet slot, and they took the details again. I didn't use the pool, so can't comment on it. The room was roomy and clean, with a pleasant outdoor sitting area overlooking the garden, and the bathroom was clean and functional. For check-in, the staff were friendly and collected the details required under German covid tracking rules. Hand gel was available, and the floor was marked for social distancing. Still, I didn't see signs of extra room cleaning since the outbreak, such as cleaning of the light switches or TV remote. It would be reassuring to know what extra measures are in place for rooms. The area nearby was lovely, with historic buildings and beautiful architecture. The hotel was nice, and I'd stay again.
