We ended up extending our week-long stay by another two weeks because so many things we wanted to see were nearby. Basel was 20 minutes away, while Zürich, Luzerne, Strasbourg, and Bern were about 1 hour 20 minutes away. Hotel Manager Mr.Jovanovic was kind and helpful, which made the stay easy and enjoyable.

The food was just okay, nothing special, and the check-in process wasn't very clear. The restaurant is downstairs, in the same place where you check in. It's a quiet place for a night's stay, although it's near a railway, which I didn't actually notice. The owners turn off the Wi-Fi after 22:30, and the internet isn't really usable anyway. Not that great.

The owner was very friendly, and the hotel was generally clean. I liked the mattresses, and the room had plenty of space, including a large square balcony facing the main street. It was fairly quiet during my stay. There was an elevator, parking, a phone in the room (does anyone still need one?), a small desk with a small TV, and a roomy wardrobe. The one thing I didn't like was the stains or residue on the floor by the balcony.

The room was spacious and the bathroom had fresh new tiles. The refrigerator was another story: I opened it, saw the mold and dirt, and shut it straight away. Breakfast looked fresh, though the sausage had a greenish tinge. Wi-Fi reached the door of my room, but not inside.

The pizzeria downstairs serves, in my opinion, excellent wood-fired pizza. The room itself was clean and fine, but the bathroom feels stuck in the 1960s, and the shower curtain is well past its time. The TV picture was awful, and there isn't a proper reception desk. It's okay overall.
