Hotel Grossfeld

The rooms are very large and comfortable, and I liked that the toilet is separate from the shower. Breakfast in the main building, where reception is, was good. The hotel is spread across several separate buildings, so keep that in mind if it’s raining. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed here in 2001 for a long term project and had a wonderfully large suite. Then the hotel told me to move to another hotel for two nights because a regular customer was supposed to use my room. I packed as requested and went to reception at 7am with my case, only to be told no such request had been made. I went back to the suite, unpacked, and went to work. When I returned, a young girl was in my room. The hotel had thrown my belongings into my case and then shouted at me for not moving out. The staff were badly organised and two faced, denying I’d taken my case to reception that morning. This happened to others on the same project too, who were told at different times to move hotels to make room for regular guests. In the end our whole project team left. Very bad customer service.

The receptionist was very kind, humane, and professional.

There’s a game area with a pool table, Pacman, and a few other things, plus a nice indoor swimming pool and good parking. The people were lovely and breakfast was good. Our room was okay, with a good shower, and it was clean.
