4/10
The room was comfortable and pleasant, and the restaurants nearby were excellent. But I wouldn’t really recommend staying here. We were told only after arriving that the bathtub was available at certain times and that a second use would cost extra. That should be explained on the website. Breakfast was very basic, just two slices of ham and cheese, and we had to eat it in the room without any paper towels or cloths to clean up. During our three-day stay, we also found animal hair in the butter, which was unpleasant. The towels were old, and no toiletries were provided, something the website hadn’t mentioned either. The food hygiene needs serious improvement.

The owners put so much care into making the stay special. They helped with whatever we needed, suggested places to visit and dinner options, and let us choose what we wanted for breakfast. Our room was beautiful, very large, and clean, and the breakfast was wonderful.

6/10
Breakfast was brought to our room, and the smallest apartment felt short on space: there was no pantry, and the sleeping area opened onto the living room. The place initially seemed modern, and the neighbourhood was very quiet. Bad Bentheim was hardly busy on Friday or Saturday, which made it feel almost boring.

The breakfast was fabulous, the room was excellent, and reception was friendly. I’d recommend it.
