Check-in was smooth, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We also appreciated the little touches: tea, a kettle and instant coffee in the room, plus something thoughtful on the bed. The room was spotless and practical, with a timeless but modern look. Its bathroom felt surprisingly spacious for the room and came with shower gel, soap and tissues. Earplugs were provided, though we didn’t need them; with the window shut, the street noise wasn’t audible. We’d love to return, especially with the hotel planning to add its own restaurant.

Breakfast was a real highlight for us. The bright room has large windows, and there was a good choice of toppings, spreads, cereals and granola bars, along with quality bread rolls. When we asked, oat milk and gluten-free rolls were brought straight away. The room was lovely, clean and practical, with a good shower, beds and pillows, and the furnishings seemed fairly new. It’s a small, charming hotel with thoughtful details, attentive service and plenty of regional brochures. Parking was free on a well-lit side street, and the bicycle garage was handy. We found it noisy with the window open because the hotel is right on the main road, which explains the earplugs left on the bed as a welcome gift. Good value for money, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The service and friendliness were perfect. Everything else has been very good so far. Tradespeople are working there at the moment, but it hasn’t really bothered anyone since guests are out and about during the day.

The room was clean and tidy, though very small. We didn’t sleep very well in the beds.
