Auenglück (inkl. THERMEplus)

Bad Bevensen made for a lovely, relaxing few days, and we’d happily return. My boyfriend and I booked spontaneously for four days and got a warm welcome from our hosts. Everything was clean and tidy, and the kitchen was fully equipped, though we had to bring our own food. Netto, Aldi, and Edeka are easy to reach on foot. The hosts told us from the beginning that the iodine brine thermal baths weren’t available because of coronavirus. The apartment came with bicycles, which we could borrow as needed, and the surrounding nature makes it easy to cycle into the nearby forest. The spa park is also a short walk away and has a few surprises. Lüneburg is close enough for a visit, whether you want to see the lighthouse and museums or stroll by the Ilmenau River. Since the weather wasn’t great, we went to the Salt Museum, where entry was €8 per person. I can also recommend the professional Thai massage in central Bad Bevensen. My only preferences for the apartment would be a sofa we could both lie on side by side, and one continuous mattress in the bedroom. Otherwise, everything was fantastic.

There’s a lot to see in the peaceful natural surroundings. Shops, supermarkets, churches, mini-golf, and the Ilmenau River are all close by, and the big park and forest are great for walks. We found secure parking, and bicycles can be rented to get to the apartments. We were welcomed warmly and spontaneously, and everything was straightforward and clean, with all the essentials provided. We’d love to return. Best wishes from Lübeck.

From this quiet top-floor apartment, there’s a lovely view. The town center and thermal baths are within walking distance, and a parking space is included. There’s also an elevator in the building. The apartment is comfortable, beautiful, and furnished functionally.
