The green, beautiful surroundings were so restful, and the hotel was a very pleasant place for my fast. The fasting programme was organized perfectly, with a lovely pool and several saunas. The staff were kind and caring, and the juices and broth were very good. The healthy, fresh food I had when breaking the fast was excellent too. I didn’t feel anything was missing, and I’ll definitely do this again. I’d recommend the hotel for its top service and healthy experience in nature.

The laid-back atmosphere was great, and I really liked the hotel. The downstairs sauna was fantastic, and the food was great too.

It was a unique experience, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Still, the hotel felt strange in a lot of ways. The free WiFi was very slow, with a charge for faster access. Breakfast involved an unusual ordering system, with very little choice; I had to share a table with others and the food was already set out. It wasn’t a buffet, and they decided the portion sizes. It felt as if things were arranged for staff convenience rather than guests.

The hotel is very quiet and has a nice garden. My room was nice and cleaned daily, though the beds were too soft. The sauna area, with its three saunas, was clean and pleasant. The pool area was nice but a bit dirty. Staff were very friendly, especially in the restaurant, and the food was good.

The peaceful atmosphere and lovely area around the hotel made for great Nordic walks, and the thermal spa complex is nearby. VitalHotel Ascona is pet friendly, and has a pool, sauna, and bar. Staff were always kind, the rooms were clean and cozy, and they have everything needed for fasting. I love this place!
