The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. The bed was comfortable enough, too. Breakfast was better than at some higher-rated hotels I’ve stayed in. It seems to be family-run, and the staff were attentive and very good, especially the helpful front desk. The room rating is relative to what you’d expect at this level of hotel.

A few things to know: most rooms don’t have a fridge, there’s no gym, and nearby gyms are very expensive. The WiFi was so slow that most websites wouldn’t load. Still, the rooms, breakfast, and front desk service were great.

The room was lovely, but it was hot during our stay and there was no AC. They did provide a fan, which helped some. There was a refrigerator, but it didn’t keep anything cold, so we had to buy ice.

The bathroom and shower were huge, which was nice, and the location was unbeatable, with easy access to everything and public transport nearby. But check-in isn’t until 4 pm, and there’s no air con, safe, fridge, or kettle for tea or coffee. The supposed double bed was two unattached singles that kept sliding apart. If you need to keep a sandwich or water cold on a budget, this won’t work. There’s a paid coffee machine at reception, but they take it away.

Breakfast wasn’t available because they were short on staff, and the WiFi didn’t work very well. The price is low, though. Rooms are large and clean, and the hotel sits just outside the old town on a busy road. Luckily, the windows are well insulated.
