Villa Marstall is in a perfect spot for exploring Heidelberg’s Old Town, and it was a great stay for the price. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Breakfast in the vaulted cellar had a lovely range of food. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The one drawback was noise through the walls. A very noisy group stayed next door, and we found it hard to sleep. That seemed to be down to those guests more than the hotel.

Room 43 on the top floor had lots of character and was clean and cozy. I'm on the shorter side, so the slanted ceiling didn't bother me, and I loved the slanted window above the bed. It opened upward and gave me a lovely view of the castle. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated being able to check in a little before the standard time. Breakfast in the cellar had a nice variety, and it was a peaceful way to start the day. This boutique hotel is easy to reach by public transport, with the old town, main sights and nearby hiking trails all within walking distance. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

Getting here by public transit was easy, and the hotel is close to tourist spots. It's also well worth taking a wander around the neighbourhood. The welcome was warm, with friendly, helpful staff who made a great first impression. My room was bright, airy and clean, with a nice towel warmer in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from in the very cool vaulted cellar. Make sure you try the homemade cake!

We could walk to everything from this spot right in the middle of downtown. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The top floor did mean ducking your head quite a lot because the ceilings aren't full height, but it also gave us great river views. A wonderful place to stay, totally recommend!
