Residenz Heidelberg

The Residence has a charming setting among historic buildings, with restaurants on the ground floor of some nearby ones. The tram stop is about 200 meters away, and the Old Town is a 15-minute tram ride. There’s some free parking in the courtyard, though it’s limited. I stayed two lovely days in Heidelberg. My top-floor room was nicely furnished, with a comfortably spacious living area and bathroom, plus a small kitchenette. The bathroom wasn’t the newest, but everything was fine, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortable. Highly recommended.

I arrived at 8:30 pm and was exhausted, but there was a music lesson across the hall with at least 20 singers. They kept singing until 11 pm, then stayed outside talking. I could hear them even with the window shut, and with it open it was too noisy. The room itself was nice and clean, but it was very hot without air conditioning. Some tiles were broken and the decor felt careless. I couldn’t relax before having to leave again the next day. What a shame.

The location in a quiet part of Rohrbach is ideal, with small shops for food and dining an easy walk away and the Thorax Clinic right next door. The rooms I’ve stayed in have been beautiful, welcoming, spacious, and nicely furnished, almost like small apartments, with an open kitchen area, a desk, and a really comfortable bed. Booking was easy. When I got sick, they quickly changed my booking without any trouble. Communication with management is open and fast, and any problems were sorted right away. The accommodation is exemplary, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Self-check-in was simple, and the courtyard has plenty of parking. The prices are reasonable, and the rooms are lovely, with a clean kitchenette that’s well equipped.
