Hotel Rose Heidelberg

Breakfast was perfectly adequate, and the free on-site parking was handy, though it’s first come, first served. The hotel is close to the train, which made it easy for us to get to Heidelberg Castle. I’d definitely stay here again.

The rooms are really nice, and breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time. They even had cake! The road is loud, though. The tram woke me at six, so bring earplugs or be okay with the noise.

We spent a weekend in Heidelberg with our family, including a small baby, and the room was comfortable. It was small, but enough for one couple and the baby. Breakfast was included in the room price and was awesome. The main tourist spots are a little way off, but there was a book in the room explaining which tram to take and what was worth seeing. I’ll definitely come back to Heidelberg and stay here again. Didn’t try the sauna, maybe next time.

I had no complaints at all and would happily recommend this hotel. I’ll be back later in the year. I stayed for a week at the end of February while visiting my son, who lives nearby, and it was perfect. The after-hours key box made getting in easy. My single room was immaculate, with adjustable heating, a hot, powerful shower, TV, desk, and loads of cupboard space and hangers. I also had a little balcony with a table and chairs where I could get some air. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful each day, with eggs made to order. The woman at reception was friendly and helpful every day. A communal kitchen down the corridor had kettles and a fridge stocked with wine, water, and soft drinks. You could help yourself and pay at reception, what a lovely idea. There were local information leaflets and folders, plus bookcases with English and other language reading material. I saw the sauna downstairs but didn’t use it. There was also an outdoor seating area and secure parking. The hotel is close enough to enjoy everything Heidelberg and the area have to offer. Thanks for making my stay so nice.
