The train station location is incredibly handy. Our Flixbus stop was less than five minutes away, and buses and trams for the Castle and around town leave from just across the street. There are bakeries and food courts inside the station, some open until 10pm and on Sundays. You do see some sketchy men around the station, but that's not something the hotel can control. At least someone was at the desk at all hours. Staff were nice and helpful when we did interact, and we appreciated being able to eat takeaway in the breakfast area rather than squeeze into our room. I love Heidelberg and hope to return. I was wary after a poor stay at the Ibis a couple of years ago, when the old rooms looked dirty, but it's been renovated since. The rooms are now clean and well kept, with no mold or bad smell in the bathroom. It's small but cozy for one or two people. I also like that the toilet has a window instead of the usual indoor ventilation. The one issue for me was the mattress, which felt too firm and gave me back pain and discomfort both nights. Just my preference.

A comfortable bed, a very clean hotel, and especially nice, helpful people. There's no air conditioning, which isn't unusual, but we could open the windows. Being right beside the train station was handy.

The breakfast was decent, but it needs more warm and vegan choices. Apart from fruit and bread, there wasn't much for vegetarians or vegans. They did have a small amount of warmed food, like sausage and egg, but most things were cold. We had a lovely one night visit while exploring Heidelberg. The room was clean, nice, and surprisingly quiet given the spot right next to the hauptbahnhof. Staff were lovely at check-in, over breakfast, and when we got drinks at reception. They also kept our bags before check-in and after checkout so we could explore without them. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful staff and location, right next to Heidelberg station, but the rooms are extremely small, especially the washrooms. Not suitable even for one person.

I found the stay disappointing and expensive for what we got. There was no hot water, and the room had no kettle for tea or coffee. It was very small, and the bathroom felt extremely cramped.
