Apartment am Römerkreis

We'd happily book this place again on another trip to Heidelberg. The terrace was especially cozy, and the supermarkets, Edeka and Kaufland, were only about two minutes away. It's roughly a 20-30 minute walk to the old town, then around 10 more minutes to the castle and old bridge. The apartment has everything you need. It's right by a tram stop and main road, but my boyfriend and I weren't bothered by the noise at all.

The terrace is a highlight, with a great view of the hills around it. Getting around is easy: the city center is about 10 minutes on foot, the station is four minutes away, and buses and trams stop right outside. Shops and a bakery are close by, and you can book a space in the underground garage if you need one. Both the apartment and parking are fairly priced. The old windows are the one issue, especially in the bathroom, where they're almost impossible to open. Otherwise, it's great. And yes, I expect some traffic noise when I rent a vacation place in the center. 😉

The balcony is large, and the city center is just 500 meters away. The apartment itself is nice, but cleanliness was a problem. We had to shift the bed because a crib was beside it, and the space underneath seemed like it had never been vacuumed or cleaned. The water was a little yellow, so the pipes need replacing, and the bathroom light didn't work. At this price, I can't recommend the place.

The owner gives guests a good walkthrough of the apartment, which is clean and in a good spot for a reasonable price. The whirlpool and its nozzles could use a proper cleaning, though. Still, a good apartment and highly recommended.
