The food was good and the portions generous, with lots of locally sourced items labelled accordingly. But prices are at premium tourist-spot levels, and I'm not sure I'd return. A Coke costs 5,70 Euro, a Schnitzel 30 Euro, Käse Spätzle 21,50 Euro, and a pair of sausages 22,50 Euro. The sausages did at least come with plenty of mash and very mild Sauerkraut. It's a gorgeous place, and the wait staff are friendly and personable, though not attentive. We had to track them down for another beer and corner them to pay.

The food was really good and came out very quickly. I assume it's prepared ahead because the kitchen handles so many guests. The prices were fine with us, and we liked the atmosphere, including a bit of chaos since it was full. I phoned to reserve a table for three, but when we arrived on time they said the kitchen was closing and we had no reservation. They sorted it out quickly and seated us, though the management should handle this better since it makes guests uncomfortable.

We liked the location, and the beer was good, but the food was below average and expensive for the small amount of meat. My Sauerbraten was a small serving and not very sour. The service was one of the strangest I've experienced. They made us feel unwelcome, more like a burden, and the male staff member on the second floor didn't meet our eyes once. Prices were above average. I wouldn't come back.

A solid choice if you're nearby. We all enjoyed what we ordered, and the food was excellent. The servers were friendly, the bathrooms clean, and my non-alcoholic beer tasted amazing.
