The breakfast was a real highlight. Instead of a standard buffet, everything was brought to the table: delicious rolls, eggs cooked to order, homemade jelly, a good selection of cheese and cold cuts, fresh orange juice, and a pot of coffee or tea. The family-run hotel has simply appointed rooms that are perfectly comfortable, and the proprietors offer gracious service. It feels like a return to a simpler time. You can walk to the train station in 20 minutes or take a short taxi or bus ride. The hotel is right at the edge of the incredibly scenic old city. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Heidelberg.

The staff were so kind and helpful, with plenty of delicious breakfast choices, and they gladly did what they could to make our stay more pleasant. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are big. It’s right in the Altstadt, close to everything, yet still peaceful. Staying here was a real delight, and I’ll definitely come back on my next visit to Heidelberg.

The staff were incredibly kind and made me feel at home. The building has beautiful 19th-century architecture, and there’s an elevator. Behind it, a garden leads to the forest and hiking trails up the hill. Public transit and the old town are just a few steps away. My room was big and super clean, and the breakfast was the tastiest I’ve had at a hotel: fresh fruit salad, homemade jams, omelette, and lots of tasty breads, rolls, and cheeses. I’ve stayed at various hotels in town, and this one is absolutely the best. I’d happily return.

We were staying here at the beginning and end of a long bicycle trip, and our hosts were friendly and very accommodating with the logistics. They also let us keep a few bikes in their secure storage area. We had a very pleasant stay in comfortable, exceptionally clean rooms. The breakfast had lots of options and was absolutely delicious. The location is great for walking to the old town, castle, main pedestrian zone, riverfront, and many restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Heidelberg.
