I was traveling alone, and Jan suggested the Schnitzelbank for dinner. It was a great tip: a tiny place with communal tables and excellent traditional food. When I said Hotal am Kornmarkt had sent me, they knew Jan and asked me to say hello, so I did. Jan also made sure I had a full breakfast even though I was the only guest eating that morning. I felt like a king, and his service was great. This is a family-run hotel in central Heidelberg, within walking distance of the restaurants and sights. Parking at the P12 garage was easy, about five minutes away.

The owner welcomed us so warmly, and our spacious, comfortable suite worked perfectly for our family. We also had a beautiful view from the room. Hotel Am Kornmarkt Heidelberg is right in the middle of the city, close to the restaurants, shops, and entertainment we wanted. We had an amazing stay and will definitely return when we're next in Heidelberg.

Room 22 was quiet, and the place was cozy with what I needed for my one-night stay. The location is very convenient, with a parking garage that connects to the funicula about 100 m away. My cousin stayed in room 24 across the hall, facing the square, and said it got noisy outside after 5 am.

The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, though the room itself was very simple. Breakfast had a good selection and was super fresh, and the staff and management were friendly and helpful. The location is great for Heidelberg University. My only small suggestion would be to put a kettle and cups in the guest rooms.

We spent one night here as a family of four while visiting the Christmas markets. It was an ideal base for exploring the markets, castle, and town. Our room was spotless, and the staff were both professional and very friendly. I’d definitely recommend it.
