The Altes Badehaus serves delicacies, and it’s a lovely spot to unwind. We also enjoyed its position right on the Saale, with the spa gardens and their unique graduation tower nearby, plus the surrounding area to explore. The rooms were inviting, tastefully furnished, and very clean. The owners were warm and reliable, and we felt welcome and well cared for right from the start. Hotel Altes Salzamt/Altes Badehaus in Bad Dürrenberg has a special mix of historic charm and modern comfort, and we found it great value. Highly recommended!

We were only passing through, but liked this special place enough to stay again on our way back. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the staff were wonderful. We’ll definitely return.
