The food and view were great, and the schnitzel was fresh and delicious. But we waited about an hour to order coffee after lunch. When we tried to get the waiter's attention, he said he never responds when someone waves, because that's his principle. We tried not to wave, but he kept ignoring us. How are you meant to call a waiter without raising your hand, especially when he isn't looking at you? The coffee tasted weak, as though there wasn't much coffee in it. The chocolate cake had no chocolate taste, just flour, and the strawberry cake had no flavor either.

We only ate at the restaurant, where the local dishes were fresh and tasty. We especially liked the large cauliflower with potatoes and hollandaise sauce. Service was friendly, though it could have been more efficient. All the tables were marked reserved, even when some were unoccupied. In summer, there's a nice terrace too.

I've never had service this bad anywhere. The hotel was nice and comfortable, but the staff were the rudest I've encountered in Germany. I can't even begin to explain how unfriendly they were or how rudely they treated us, both at reception and in the restaurant.

The food here is tasty and deserves five stars, but the service is rude and surly, with no sense of putting customers first. Even though the place was half empty, all the tables were marked reserved. The staff could use some training, and then this could be the place to go.
