The owners are pleasant, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. It’s a small, cozy hotel by a park, about five minutes from the center and within walking distance of the resort.

For €135 a night, the double room didn’t feel comfortable enough. It had only one bedside table, and there was so little room that I couldn’t open my suitcase anywhere except on the bed. The location is good, though.

For a short break, this 3-star hotel near Bad Elster’s spa center is a good-value option. The rooms were clean, and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was okay, though the room was too small and, with some guests being so loud, it felt like sitting in a football stadium. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The price also seemed a little high for the location, even though everything else was quite good.

Breakfast was very meager for €15. The room was a little small, but it was clean and tidy.
