The balcony looked out over the wildlife enclosure, and the apartment was clean and well furnished. The hosts were really friendly and glad to share tips. There’s bread delivery, plus a farm shop selling things like game sausage. It’s a good base for hikes, bike rides, and trips to the thermal baths.

I enjoy buying venison from them, and the service is good. I’ve bought it several times, at around €19 per kilo in 2021. It’s worth calling ahead to check availability, ideally a few weeks in advance, especially before Christmas. On Fridays, Eichenhof game is also sold at a stall on the weekly market at Bad Füssing’s Kurplatz. I know exactly where that meat comes from.

There are apartments, a deer enclosure, and a farm shop. The shop is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6 p.m., but closed on public holidays.

The portion was far too small for what it cost, and they were unfriendly. No, I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s just outside Füssing, with little to see beyond a few deer enclosures. I didn’t find it worth a visit.
