Haus Antonius

The room had to be paid for in cash. The bathroom fixtures were new, but the shower water came out like a pressure washer. There was no hand soap or Wi-Fi, and the entrance and room smelled old and musty. Everything else felt old too, like an 80s interior, with little investment put into it. The main road is less than 50 meters away, so it was barely possible to sleep. Breakfast felt uninspired, with no music. I could hear people at the next table and all around the room while eating, which really bothered me and made for a bad start to the day.

Set in a green part of the Würding district of Bad Füssing, the Antonius apartment building is at the quiet end of a cul-de-sac. It’s a nicely located place to find some peace and relax.

A stylish, cozy hotel run by a family, with an excellent breakfast. You can rent a bicycle here. Koi enthusiasts might like the insider tip: koi are available to buy.

This is no longer a place for overnight stays. It’s now rented out permanently to local residents.
