Allgäu Resort

We needed food in the late afternoon, when many restaurants were shut, and everyone was hungry, so we stopped at the hotel with our baby and dog. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the meal was delicious. They also found me a quiet spot for a work call. The diaper-changing area was excellent and well equipped.

The restaurant is decent, though don't come expecting trendy city food. The hotel has good rooms and friendly staff, and I would visit again. It's a shame the destination chargers weren't working, even though the receptionist was very helpful about it.

I booked and paid for a room at Allgäu report, then arrived in December 2024 and found out I couldn't bring my pet into the room. The hotel had messaged me about this earlier, but I hadn't seen it. They wouldn't give me a full refund for a room I couldn't use, or even a voucher for a later visit. I felt treated unfairly, and they didn't respond to my request. There were plenty of empty rooms that day, so I don't believe my booking cost them money. Before writing this, I tried contacting the hotel management again to explain what had happened, but got no reply. It was a very unpleasant and inhumane experience.

The service wasn't good enough. I asked at reception for a mini bar and a pillow, as stated on the room card, but they just kept saying no and shut down the conversation.
