The tea selection is surprisingly broad, and the coffee and cake are reasonably priced. It’s a quiet, rustic place that feels a bit like visiting Grandma back in the day. A nice stop during a hike, or just somewhere to enjoy some peace and quiet.
The 1960s café-style interior is quite appealing, and the salad bar was excellent. We came with a group of about 20, which unfortunately pushed the service to its limits. Still, we were served and got a delicious meal. We’ll come back sometime.
The onion roast beef with hand-scraped spaetzle is delicious, simply divine. Good traditional German cooking, plus homemade cakes made without mixes, just like Mom’s.
The rooms are fine, and Wi-Fi is available. Staff are very friendly, and there’s always fresh homemade cake. Breakfast and the restaurant food are good too.
Good value food, lovely surroundings and views, and friendly service. Very good.
