Alpstein Appartements

The worst part was going almost two days without hot water in the shower. There were also expired food items in the "emergency fridge". Under the sofa was dirt, and a few socks from the previous tenant were still in the closet, which doesn’t suggest the place is cleaned regularly. Two dishwasher tablets for four days felt a bit mean, too. Still, it’s okay if all you need is somewhere to shower and sleep.

The shower wouldn’t drain, and several things were broken: the refrigerator had been pulled out of the fitted kitchen, the cupboard drawer was broken, and the lights didn’t work. The room was very worn, run-down overall, and significantly overpriced.

The beds were comfortable and the shower was large. Everything was in order, with all the utilities available, and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped.

The view and the quiet setting were the only good parts. The children’s playroom had mold, and the furniture was run-down. The rooms were so dark you’d want to bring headlamps. The intercom didn’t work, and the tiny bathroom had no ventilation and a dirty radiator. The toilet seat wobbled so much you nearly fell off, though the narrow layout kept you from slipping sideways. Shower water drained very slowly, with a risk of flooding, and hot water took three minutes to arrive. Unacceptable. I reported it to the authorities.
