The little touches make this place feel special. After dark, there are candles all over the terrace, which has several different spots to sit. Music in the lounge makes it easy to hang around and chat, and breakfast has fresh egg dishes, lots of choice, and a great selection of cheeses. The owners are close by if you need anything. It’s a lovely place to stay, especially if you like the idea of coming home to friends.

We had a double room with a balcony. It was clean, cozy, and nicely furnished, though one of the mattresses felt worn. Breakfast had a standard selection, and the lounge had drinks, snacks, and free tea and coffee. There’s parking right at the hotel, and getting around by car was easy. We spent a long New Year’s weekend in Vorderhindelang for winter walks, sledding, and snowboarding. It’s a small, lovely hotel, though we did miss having a lockable ski room.

The Giesen family clearly runs this place with real passion. I stayed four nights on my own in a very nice single room without a balcony, with a great new 1.40 m bed and a brand new bathroom. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with lots of regional products, labels explaining what everything was, lovely presentation, and even fresh pineapple 🍍. The owners were incredibly friendly. There’s a large fridge for guests’ own food and parking in front of the hotel. I highly recommend it 💗😊.
