The hotel sits in a great spot along the Rhine, and parking is free. When we arrived, reception was closed, so we called the hostess using the number on the door. She came soon after. From the outside and on the first floor it looks dated, like a hotel built in the 1980's. Inside, though, it's clean, with nice rooms, movable beds, and soft sofas. The whole hotel was updated during COVID while it was closed. Some might not like the bathroom tiles, but I didn't find any other serious drawbacks. Breakfast was good, and it was nice of the hostess to bring a coffee pot to the table. The restaurant was closed during our visit. Maybe it only opens in summer, when more guests are around.

I was only at the hotel for a few minutes to pick up my mother, but it was enough to leave a bad impression. The toilet on the ground floor opposite the elevator smelled awful, as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The odor even carried through the elevator to the other floors. The place feels run down and urgently needs renovation. With its dark colors and blind windows, it felt depressing, not somewhere I'd enjoy a vacation.

The hotel is okay for the price. But if you arrive after reception has closed, you have to call and speak with a lady who isn't very helpful or nice. The rest was okay too. I'd recommend it only if you're patient with the reception desk.

The restaurant wasn't open on the night we stayed, but the room was very clean. This hotel isn't as bad as some people make out.

The receptionist was hostile, unhelpful, and racist. She insisted there was no reservation under my name and wouldn't even check the system. I had to wait outside for the rest of my group. Only after they arrived did she look it up. I'd give zero stars if I could.
