Seminaris Hotel Bad Honnef

Breakfast had a good range of options, and the hotel is very close to the train station, about a five-minute walk. Bonn center is around a 30-minute ride away. Bad Honnef is dead after 19:30, though, with everything closed except a couple of restaurants and mini markets. The hotel itself feels old and ordinary, with squeaky doors and no renovation for ages. There was nothing in the room: no fridge, no cleaning. I wonder how skipping room cleaning helps the environment, as the notice says. The shower had hand soap instead of even shower gel or shampoo. WiFi was terrible, with constant network problems and just 3-4Mbps. It's 2025, by the way.

The pillows weren't good enough, but the staff were polite and the room was clean and comfortable. It was a nice, quiet place for a holiday, and breakfast from 6:30-10:00 was super 👍

The room was comfortable, and breakfast was quite good. I stayed for Gamescom 2025, and the hotel has good connections to Köln, with train and tram stations nearby. There's NO swimming pool for guests. Also, the shower had hand soap instead of shower gel or shampoo. Maybe that's a cost-cutting measure, but it was strange. For the price, it's a decent hotel.

After making an emergency stop late at night, I headed to this hotel because the reception is supposed to be open 24 hours. It was past 2 o'clock. The desk was open, and there were rooms available, but they wouldn't give me one. The receptionist said the Checkout-Kasse was already closed for the night. So what is the point of having reception open 24 hours?
