Parkhotel CUP VITALIS - Adults Only

The fixed table setup for both dinner and breakfast is ridiculous, and there were no vending machines except the ones selling nuts. The parking lot is also quite a distance from the main entrance. I stayed four days because everywhere else was booked, though I cancelled all my other reservations at your place. A hotel like Cup Vitalis should at least have a decent bed, but mine was tiny. There was no air-conditioning, and the cleaning crew opened the curtains every day, making the room very hot. They even left the balcony door open, so people from adjacent rooms could have walked in with all my belongings there. Do I need to go on?

The breakfast was great, and everyone at reception was super nice. I was surprised, though, that the orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed. Our room was very small and narrow for what we paid, with neither air-conditioning nor a fan. For a spa hotel, especially with climate change around the world, I was stunned the rooms weren’t air-conditioned. It was a pretty warm night. Also, bring your own washcloth, or you might have to use your socks instead.

The spa was lovely, breakfast was excellent, and it’s only a short walk to the city center. I’d highly recommend the place. The only problem was at check-in: the receptionist didn’t properly tell us we could unload at the front. We drove around to the parking area at the back and had to wheel our luggage uphill by hand to the parking entrance.

Breakfast was consistently good, and many of the employees spoke English and were helpful. It’s a nice hotel, though there was no A/C, and the room had twin mattresses, unlike what I’m used to at a typical U.S. hotel. The TV didn’t have many English channels. I didn’t get a chance to try the pool or spa.
