My main problem was check-in. I was first at the desk, but they ignored me and helped another guest instead. It felt unpleasant and very unprofessional, and that’s why I can only give one star. For €99 with breakfast, the price for what you get is reasonable. The room was clean and functional, though quite basic, somewhat dated, and noisy. It did have a small balcony and a refrigerator. Breakfast was average, with only filter coffee available. There was also a machine at reception, but its cappuccino function didn’t work. It’s an average, simple-standard hotel for this price range in Germany, and rather in the middle of nowhere.

The rooms are massive, and they provide towels and soap. The shower could use more pressure. I had to wait two hours outside after driving from the UK because check-in isn’t allowed until 2 pm. I wasn’t happy about that.

We’ve stayed here many times and will stay again. The staff have usually been super friendly, they’re good to us, and they love the doggies. This visit was mostly the same, though one girl on Sunday morning was grumpy and abrupt, and didn’t seem to want to be there. Maybe she was just having a bad day. We’ve never had service like that here before. The hotel’s a good place to stay, with decent breakfast, and they roast their own coffee. They’re connected to the restaurant Big Emma, which is also very cool when they make their own beer.

A pleasant stay, though I don’t think the €80 night was worth it. The service was excellent from beginning to end, and the staff were keen to help with whatever you needed. I’d recommend it for the service.
