The spa and sauna area was very clean and well maintained, with everything working properly and a good mix of saunas, including gentler heat options. We rented the sauna area privately for two people at €49 an hour, which made for a great experience. There was always free water at the sauna bar, and the whirlpool runs on coins. Towels were provided in XL size, just right for the sauna, and all the showers and facilities were clean. Free private parking was another big plus. Our room at Wellnesshotel Waldruh was spacious and clean, with a modern TV that had a sleep timer. The shutters made it nearly completely dark, great for anyone sensitive to light. The bathroom was roomy and very clean, with a shower but no bathtub, plus a heated towel rail for warming clothes and towels. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the lift was wheelchair accessible. Breakfast was solid, with enough choice for me as a vegetarian and some fresh options, though it wasn’t vegan-friendly. All in all, it’s a comfortable and reliable hotel that feels personal while still allowing privacy. It’s solid across the board, if not especially luxurious.

The rooms were roomy, modern, and clean, and the hosts were exceptionally friendly. I really liked the location too. Breakfast came with fresh bread, cold cuts, fruit, and vegetables. I’d recommend staying here.

The price for what you get surprised me, especially since my boyfriend booked it for my birthday. The staff were so kind and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. We loved the food, especially the desserts. The wellness area was lovely and very clean, with extras you can book like a private bath, massages, or private spa time. The value for money is unbelievable.

The Ammergau Alps are right there to explore, whether you feel like hiking, skiing, or winding down at the spa. The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day, and the service at the hotel was impeccable. People in the region were very friendly to tourists too. We’ll be back soon.

After a day exploring the area and getting tired out, relaxing in the sauna before dinner was just right. The owners prepared a great meal, and the sauna is well worth a visit. Such a great experience, with the whole place handled by a polite, lovely, kind couple.
